PENGARUH TIGA INDIKATOR SEKTOR KEUANGAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI LIMA NEGARA ASEAN PADA TAHUN 1990-2010

Abstract

Sejak krisis global tahun 2008, perkembangan ekonomi global terutama sektor keuangan menunjukkan perbaikan, termasuk di kawasan ASEAN. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari indikator keuangan beberapa negara ASEAN seperti rasio money supply terhadap PDB, rasio tingkat kredit terhadap PDB, dan rasio investasi terhadap PDB. Peningkatan sektor keuangan juga disertai dengan peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara-negara ASEAN. Berdasarkan fakta ini, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui pengaruh indikator keuangan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di lima negara ASEAN, yaitu Indonesia, Malaysia, Filipina, Thailand, dan Singapura. Indikator keuangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rasio money supply terhadap PDB, rasio tingkat kredit terhadap PDB, dan rasio investasi terhadap PDB. Dengan menggunakan data panel untuk periode 1990-2010, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua indikator keuangan yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi di lima negara ASEAN, yaitu rasio money supply terhadap PDB dan rasio investasi terhadap PDB.
