Author Guidelines

General requirements

Manuscripts should be written in good and correct Indonesian (following the rules of Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan (EYD) V) or English. The format adheres to the technical rules of The American Psychological Association (APA) Style 7th edition.

The manuscript should contain at least 5.000-7.000 words and should not exceed 25 pages, including embedded figures and tables, without an appendix, and the file should be in Microsoft Office (.doc/.docx/.rtf) format. It should be prepared on A4 paper (21 cm x 29.7 cm) using margin-top: 4.01 cm, bottom: 2.01, left: 2.54 cm, and right: 2.26 cm.

Not More than Fifteen Words

Write the abstract here in Indonesian and English. The abstract should include the objective, methodology, and discussion/conclusion results. End the abstract with recommendations to DPR RI. The abstract should be written in Indonesian with single spacing, a maximum of 250 words, and Arial font (10 pt).

Keywords are arranged alphabetically, contain three to six words/phrases separated with semicolons (;), and do not end with a dot.

The introduction should not exceed 1,000 words, providing comprehensive background information, a review of relevant literature, and highlighting the novelty of your research. It is crucial to elucidate why the addressed issue deserves the attention of DPR RI. Conclude the introduction by presenting research questions in interrogative sentences and outlining the research methodology.

In this context, the methodology assumes paramount significance. It necessitates a clear and explicit explanation of the chosen approach to enable other researchers to replicate the study. This involves specifying the data used in the research, including dates, authors, and titles. Explicitly detail the data collection process and the analytical methods employed. Additionally, justify the rationale behind selecting the chosen methodology. Be sure to elaborate on the data analysis procedures you employ.

Literature Review (written in theory titles)

This section includes the theory to analyze the problem according to the variables stated in the title. The theory should support the author's arguments, with each quote coming from reliable, recent, relevant, and accessible sources. Proper acknowledgment must be given for any ideas presented by others.

Discussion (written with sub-chapter titles)

This is the most crucial part of your manuscript. The discussion should be clear and concise, exploring the importance of your analysis. It should elaborate on the research results (reasons, relationships, etc.) and compare them with the research outlined in the introduction/literature review.

If your manuscript includes figures, graphs, images, and tables, follow the guidelines provided for each.

  • Figures, graphs, images. Figures/graphs/images are preferably in black and white; if they are in color, they must be clear and legible. Captions should be numbered with Arial 11 pt font and single spacing. Titles should include a brief title (not on the image itself) and an illustrative description.
  • Table. Tables are assigned consecutive numbers based on their appearance in the manuscript. Place table footnotes directly below the table and designate them with small superscript letters. Avoid using vertical lines. Ensure that the use of tables is necessary, and confirm that the data presented in the tables do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the manuscript.
  • Formulas If there are mathematical formulas or equations in the manuscript, you can use the Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType feature. Place the formula indented like a new paragraph (5 spaces in). At the end of the formula, ellipses (...) are provided, followed by a consecutive formula number. An explanation of the formula, including symbols, is provided after writing the formula.

Provide answers to the research questions. The conclusion should add policy recommendations for DPR RI. Authors must provide suggestions or recommendations for the analyzed object. It should not exceed 500 words.

The reference style for this journal follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition. Use at least 25 sources, with 60–70% from the last three years. All references should be arranged alphabetically and written in the order of the author's last name and first name, year of publication, book title, city of publication, and publisher. Titles should be written in sentence case and italicized. Utilize applications like Mendeley or Zotero to assist in reference writing.

Include the following features in your APA style citations:

  1. Alphabetically sorted bibliography based on the author's last name or title if there is no author.
  2. Author names are written as initials. The last name is written first. If there are multiple authors, all names are written with their last names first.
  3. If there are more than two authors, only the last name of the first author is written for the citation, followed by et al., then the year and page number of the citation source. In Indonesian, et al. is italicized; in English, it is not.
  4. If there are multiple works by the same author, list them in chronological order from the oldest.
  5. Additional letters (a, b, c) can be added after the year if there are multiple works by the same author in the same year.

Please download our journal template to assist you in composing your manuscript.

It is suggested the use of a reference manager, MENDELEY and ZOTERO
