KESIAPAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM PENYELENGGARAAN JAMINAN SOSIAL BERDASARKAN UU NO. 24 TAHUN 2011 TENTANG BADAN PENYELENGGARA JAMINAN SOSIAL

Abstract

Law No. 24/2011 on Social Security Implementing Agency will be enacted on January  1,  2014. These studies have been conducted  to see the preparedness  of all respecting  parties, especially the regional governments in Surabaya and Medan. It was apllied a qualitative method to check problems faced by the earlier local social security system (the Jamkesda) and the possible similar future problems which will be encountered by the National Social Security System and its Implementing Board. It was found that there are no special preparations which have been made by both regional governments for the incoming implementation of the Jaw although there are still questions regarding the categorizations of the poor and hospitals  and their  supporting  facilities  which should  be responsible, and how much premium that must be paid. However, either in Medan or Surabaya, the regional government argued that they will be ready to help and execute all instructions of the central government in the framewrok of implementing the Jaw.
