PENYELUNDUPAN SENJATA KE WILAYAH INDONESIA

Abstract

The article on weapons smuggling is a descriptive-analytical research which applies a qualitative method. Data was gathered through library research and fieldworks, and series of in-depth interviews. Its research findings reveals lndonesia's regions which are vurnerable from weapons smuggling, particularly along the country's sea borders with South China Sea and Pacific Ocean, as well as along ifs borders with Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The research results a/so disclose that non-state and traditional actors involvements in weapons smuggling are difficult to be overseen. ln addition to this, globalisation and the rise of the non-state actors'role post Cold War give a threat to domestic security.
