Abstract

Up until now, the satisfaction level of citizen to their representative on House of Representative Indonesia is still Low. Therefor House of Representative Indonesia develop new concept which is modern parliament.Through modern parliament, citizen will able to communicate their aspiration directly to their representative related on many issues that currently happen. On the other hand, House of Representative Indonesia will be able to be an institution that able to fulfill society needs. This article aim to decipher the cause of the need for house of representative Indonesia to develop modern parliament concept, supporting factors to create modern parliament and how to materialize modern parliament. This article is using representative concept, accountability, modern parliament and digital democracy. Even though application of modern parliament concept is not convenient, but house of representative indonesia need to strive to materialize this concept to strengthen representative democracy in Indonesia.
